Tata Consulting Engineers subsidiary Ecofirst Services to work with Amsterdam ArenA International to provide detailed project reports and design works for sports infrastructure.

Ecofirst Services Limited, a 100 per cent subsidiary of Tata Consulting Engineers Limited has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Amsterdam ArenA International, a subsidiary of Amsterdam ArenA to provide detailed project reports and design works for sports infrastructure.

In a statement issued here, Ecofirst Services said the MOU was signed in the presence of the Netherlands Ambassador to India Alphonsus Stoelinga, between Amsterdam ArenA and its strategic partner companies in India — Tenon Property Services — and Ecofirst Services Limited.

Ecofirst was acquired by Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE) in 2012 and is now a full-fledged Tata enterprise. The COO of Ecofirst, Chitranjan Kaushik, said the company expects that this partnership will change the way sports infrastructure is being developed and operated in India. ``We hope to develop sports infrastructure of global standards and built around sound sustainability principles,'' he added.

Henk Markerink, CEO of Amsterdam ArenA, said, “It is vital to build strong relationships, optimise our working methods to the local reality and create presence in the Indian market. These partnerships are vital for us and I look forward with great confidence to what the future will bring us.”
