Sistema Shyam TeleServices (SSTL), which operates under MTS brand in India, said on Wednesday that Dmitry Shukov will take over as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer from June 1, replacing Vsevolod Rozanov.
Rozanov, the current President and CEO of SSTL, has been heading the company’s operations since October 2008. He is being elevated to a senior position within Sistema JSFC and will move to its headquarters in Moscow.
The details of Rozanov’s new role will be announced by Sistema JSFC after completion of all due corporate procedures, the company said in a statement.
Sistema JSFC Chairman of the Board Vladimir Evtushenkov said, “Vsevolod’s leadership and strategic direction provided to SSTL was immensely valuable and positioned the company amongst the top three data operators in India.”
The incoming CEO, Shukov, has 20 years of work experience and was previously the CEO of MTS Turkmenistan and MTS Uzbekistan.
With many of the uncertainties relating to SSTL’s operations having been resolved, the key focus area for Shukov will be to take the company to the next level. SSTL is expected to roll out a range of strategic initiatives in line with its data-centric voice-enabled strategy, the statement said.
