Deepak Fertilisers buys stake in MCFL

Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation on Wednesday said it had acquired 24.46 per cent stake in the Vijay Mallya-promoted Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilisers Ltd. (MCFL) for an undisclosed amount. In a filing to the BSE, Deepak Fertilisers said its wholly-owned subsidiary SCM Soilfert Limited “had acquired 2,89,91,150 equity shares of the face value of Rs.10 each, representing 24.46 per cent of share capital of Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilisers”.
