City Union Bank Q4 net rises 18%

City Union Bank reported a 18% growth in net profit to ₹152 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2018, from ₹129 crore in the same quarter the previous year. Operating profit rose 19% to ₹294 crore (₹248 crore). Net interest income increased 18% to ₹368 crore (₹311 crore).

Gross NPA (non-performing assets) stood at ₹857 crore or about 3.03% of gross advances. Net NPAs stood at ₹475 crore or 1.70% of net advances.

The board approved issue of bonus shares in the proportion of 1:10. That is, one bonus equity share for every 10 shares held.
