The provisional winning price of pan-India broadband wireless access (BWA) spectrum on Wednesday crossed Rs.8,500 crore as less activity was seen on the part of 11 bidders in 22 circles at the ongoing e-auction. At the current price, the government would easily get over Rs.26,000 crore from the BWA auction.
The DoT has decided to raise the ‘activity requirement' at the ongoing auction, which means that the process would be over the next few days. Delhi, Mumbai and Tamil Nadu circles continue to remain highly valued circles.
