Bhat, Agrawal elevated to Tata Sons board

Titan chief, group CFO join 9 others

Tata Sons, the holding company for the $100 billion, salt-to-software conglomerate, has elevated Bhaskar Bhat, managing director of Titan, and Saurabh Agrawal, group chief financial officer, to the company’s board.

Mr. Bhat had “helped his company drive brand value and achieve a market capitalisation of $10 billion”, while Mr. Agrawal brought “deep capital market knowledge and valuable cross industry experience to the Tata group,” Tata Sons said in a statement.

Commenting on their appointment, N. Chandrasekaran, chairman, Tata Sons, said, “We welcome Bhaskar and Saurabh to the board of directors. The board will benefit from the tremendous experience and knowledge of these professionals in multiple domains. I wish them luck and look forward to working with them.”

With the latest additions, the board of Tata Sons has been expanded to 11 members, including chairman N. Chandrasekaran, Vijay Singh, Nitin Nohria, Ronen Sen, Farida Khambata, Venu Srinivasan, Ajay Piramal, Amit Chandra and Ralf Speth.
