Bharti raises stake in Qualcomm’s venture

Bharti Airtel, on Thursday, said it had acquired an additional 2 per cent stake in all the four BWA subsidiaries of Qualcomm in India, thereby making them its subsidiaries.

On May 24, 2012, Bharti Airtel and Qualcomm had announced an agreement, under which Bharti had acquired 49 per cent interest in Qualcomm AP’s India entities that hold licences to offer 4G data services in four circles of Delhi, Mumbai, Haryana and Kerala, the company said in a statement.
