Bharti Airtel profit soars

Bharti Airtel achieved 87 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs.5,183 crore for the year ended March 31, 2015 against Rs.2,773 crore in the previous financial year.

Total revenue rose by 7.3 per cent to Rs.92,039 crore from Rs.85,746 crore. In the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2015, the net profit rose by 30 per cent to Rs.1,255 crore from Rs.962 crore, mainly driven by growth in mobile data revenue. Total revenue of the company rose 3.6 per cent to Rs.23,016 crore from Rs.22,219 crore in the year-ago period.
