Berger Paints plans second unit in Russia

Berger Paints India has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Stavropol Region in Russian Federation for conducting a feasibility study for establishment of an industrial coatings plant there.

Berger, which already has a presence in Russia, plans to complete the study by 2015 for setting up a unit in this industrial area. Company Chairman Kuldip Singh Dhingra said that the MoU was a step towards developing bilateral co-operation. Stavropol is an industrially developed area with an automobile unit in its vicinity.

Berger’s existing unit is in Krasnodar and it makes decorative paints.
