Arvind Lifestyle targets Rs. 500 cr from kids wear

Arvind Lifestyle Brands Ltd. is targeting revenue of Rs.400 crore to Rs.500 crore through U.S.-based children’s speciality apparel retailer The Children’s Place (TCP) in five years.

Talking to The Hindu , Mridumesh Kumar Rai, India Business Head of The Children’s Place said: “Though, we were in discussion with TCP since 2011, we opened our first outlet in Bengaluru after a delay of four years. Since August 2015, we have been posting growth in all the categories in a big way.”

As part of the growth plan, Arvind Lifestyle plans to open three more Exclusive Brand Outlets (EBOs) and three shop-in-shops in places such as Bengaluru, Indore and National Capital Region. Currently, it has 11 stores in 11 locations. The new shops will be opened in the next three months.

Mr. Rai said the merchandise for kids wear was 100 per cent imported from different parts of the world. There are no immediate plans for producing it in India.
