Long haul airline Virgin Atlantic Airways has announced a new flight from New Delhi to New York’s John F Kennedy airport via Heathrow, London.

The new service to JFK will commence from October 28, and will complement the airline’s existing same day connection from Delhi to Newark via Heathrow, London. The new service is being launched to capitalise on the growing passenger numbers to New York and the US, according a statement issued here.

The new route will offer seamless connectivity to New York for traffic out of Delhi.

The airline’s success on the Delhi-Newark route was a key factor in launching this new service. Stephen King, general manager (India), Virgin Atlantic Airways said the schedule has been designed to enable passengers from India’s capital to connect quickly to New York.
