Access Healthcare Services Pvt. Ltd., a provider of end-to-end healthcare revenue cycle services, plans to open one more global development centre (GDC) in Chennai in three months and add to its headcount by 2,000, according to a top official.

Process automation

“It will be our 10 global delivery centre in India and the seventh in Chennai,” Vardhman Jain, Vice-Chairman Access Healthcare, said in an interview. “We cater to the revenue cycle management needs of our customers in the U.S., for which we have developed new software on the basis of Robotics Process Automation,” he said.

The company has invested about 1 per cent of its revenue in R &D work.

“The automation process quickens the accounts receivable process leading to increased efficiency and accuracy and increased revenue for its customers. The software extracts the details of a customer quickly and does follow up work such as reminding the agent about the pending insurance claims,” he said.

According to Mr. Jain, about Rs.15 crore would be invested in the Chennai centre. About 1,700 of the 2,000 additional employees will be deployed in the new centre. The addition to staff strength will be completed by 2017, taking total headcount to 8,000, Mr. Jain said.

The company was also looking at setting up a centre in Bengaluru next year.

Currently, Access has six centres in Chennai and one each in Coimbatore, Pune and Manila in the Philippines.

Access Healthcare clocked $50 million in revenue in 2015 and plans to touch $60 million in 2016 and $100 million in 2017.
