30 % rise in Q1 net of Sundaram BNP Paribas Home Finance

Sundaram BNP Paribas Home Finance, the home finance subsidiary of Sundaram Finance Ltd., has said that its net profit for the first quarter ended June, 2013 has risen 30 per cent to Rs.38 crore from Rs.29 crore registered in the same period last year.

Home loan disbursements increased by16 per cent to Rs.653 crore during the quarter under review compared with Rs.562 crore in the same period last year.

“Despite the challenging environment, we were able to achieve moderate home loan growth of 16 per cent,,” a release quoted Srinivas Acharya, Managing Director of Sundaram BNP Paribas Home Finance, as saying.
