Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) major Burger King has announced crossing the 100 store milestone in India, making it one of the fastest growing QSR brands in the country.

The company set up its Indian business in November, 2014, and within a span of 32 months it has expended its network to 103 outlets across 28 cities, a top company official said.

“The 100th store has come up in Jalandhar. In fact we have 103 Burger King restaurants in India now. So far no QSR brand has expended so fast in India like us,” said Rajeev Varman, CEO, Burger King India.

The American burger major now plans to expand in cities where it has presence. These include Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Kochi and Jaipur.

By this year-end, the company will have a total number of 130 restaurants in its portfolio. “We will be adding 30 to 50 restaurants a year and we will stay on that plan till we cover the markets across India,” Mr. Barman said.

Currently all the restaurants are operated by the company and going forward, it will appoint franchises to grow the network, he added.
