As the last day for paying the December installment of Advance tax falls on Sunday, the Central Board of Direct taxes has decided to allow such payments to be accepted till the December 17 or Tuesday.
“Taxpayers, therefore, can now pay their advance tax installment by 17 December, 2013 without entailing any consequential interest for deferment,” said an official release issued in New Delhi.
