The Hindu Centre for Politics and Public Policy, together with the Madras Book Club will release two books on Monday, May 9 — Letters from Chennai: Random thoughts on medicine and society by Dr. Gopalakrishna Gandhi and Yamaraja's Brother: an autobiography of Dr. M.K. Mani by Dr. Lakshmi Vijayakumar.

The books will be launched at the Kasturi Srinivasan Hall, Music Academy.

The launch of the books will be followed by a panel discussion with the two authors and Mr. N. Ram, Chairman, Kasturi & Sons Ltd.

Mr. Gandhi is the former Governor of West Bengal, while Ms. Lakshmi Vijayakumar is a psychiatrist and Founder-Trustee of the suicide helpline SNEHA.
