Rocky Singh has, in the past, run a restaurant, owned a gas distributorship, worked with British Airways and KLM, been the GM of a Corporate training company in Dubai and headed a multinational as the CEO in Miami, USA before finally retiring in 2004. Along with fellow adventurer Mayur Sharma, Rocky is the co-anchor of "Highway On My Plate" and "Jai Hind" on NDTV Good Times. His first book, co-authored with Mayur, Highway On My Plate – The Indian Guide to Roadside Eating (Random House) was a runaway bestseller that won 'Best Celebrity Cookbook' at the 2012 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in Paris. Rocky is an internationally certified consultant in HR and business process fields and runs 'Mindseye', a corporate training consultancy.

Rocky Singh will speak on Cooking up a Storm: The Secrets of Great Food in Chennai on February 17, 2013 at the Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall in Lady Andal School.
