Prakash Javadekar is the All India Spokesperson for the Bharatiya Janata Party, with which he has been associated since 1981. He is also a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha. He has worked on many projects for the development of IT in Maharashtra, including chairing the Task Force on IT and the Working Group on "IT for the Masses". He has also served as Chairman of the NGO Gramshakti, that promotes rural development.
