Vedamum Panpadum.

The festival of music and dance at Sri Krishna Gana Sabha was preceded by the release of a Tamil book, ‘Vedamum Panpaadum’ written by Sarma Sastrigal.

Sri Jayendra Saraswati, head of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, released the book, first copies of which were received by Gururama Ghanapaadigal, Y. Prabhu, secretary of the Sabha, and Sri Udayalur Kalyanaraman.

'Vedamum Panpaadum' is the Tamil version of his English book, ‘The Great Hindu Tradition,’ released two years ago.

The English version has a simple, conversational style to convey some key aspects of the Vedas and the associated rituals.

The book has seen three editions and demand necessitated a Tamil version, which finds Sri Sarma answering questions. Sri Jayendra Saraswati lauded the effort of Sri Sarma in upholding Sanatana dharma.
