Well known chef Ritu Dalmia launched her latest book “Travelling Diva” at Godrej Nature's Basket in New Delhi

Godrej Nature's Basket, which retails some of the finest international and domestic wines, cold cuts, meats, cheese, organic foods and a large variety of pastas, noodles and packaged food from around the world, celebrated the opening of its outlet in Vasant Vihar with a book reading session of “Travelling Diva”, Ritu Dalmia's latest book. Dalmia one of India's best known chefs, who has won a number of awards, runs three restaurants in Delhi – Diva, Cafe Diva, and Latitude 28 in addition to the cafe at the Italian Cultural Centre.

On the occasion Dalmia narrated some of her most flavoursome food experiences that have made it to the book. Said she, “My first book came out four years ago but it is totally different. ‘Travelling Diva' is the collection of recipes which I have collected from different places I have travelled over the years. It contains recipes given by friends and restaurants where I have had memorable meals.” The book contains authentic recipes whose ingredients are available. In fact there are over 120 recipes from around the world. There are tips on making the best use of left-over's too. Present on the occasion was Mohit Khattar, MD, Nature's Basket.

Gourmet meals

Speaking at the function, Khattar said, “Over the years we have tried to take gourmet meals to dining tables at homes. Here at our store in Vasant Vihar, we have tried to enhance our range and services to delight this well travelled and evolved set of foodies.” Dalmia narrated her association with Nature's Basket, “It is one of the few stores that carry all the ingredients that one needs for Italian cooking, and it also brings fresh, authentic ingredients, meats and wines.”

The newly launched store is a delight for all the meat lovers as it houses the largest meat counter compared to its other outlets in the city. The gourmet food retailer is equipped with trained food specialists who assist and encourage people who love to experiment with new world cuisines.
