Prominent journalist Anil Singh launched his fourth book, Bihar: Chaos to Chaos recently

The book, Bihar: Chaos to Chaos, was released at Teen Murti Bhavan by Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. The event also saw the likes of former Chief Minister of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav, Star TV CEO Uday Shankar and Minister for Culture Chandresh Kumari Katoch.

Bihar is a state of opposites. The site of vast natural wealth on the one hand, and one of India’s poorest States on the other, it is not an easy State to understand.

To give the nation a clear picture of this State, which happens to be his home State, Anil Singh, executive editor of ABP news, has written his fourth book titled Bihar: Chaos to Chaos . The book was released at Teen Murti Bhavan by Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. The event also saw the likes of former Chief Minister of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav, Star TV CEO Uday Shankar and Minister for Culture Chandresh Kumari Katoch.

The book revolves around the rapid decline of the State in political, economic and social parameters under various dispensations. It also provides the reader an in-depth analytical comparison of the political parties who have reigned in Bihar. All this has been done with detailed footnotes to assists scholars.

The book also throws a light upon the State’s glorious ancient civilization and rich cultural heritage along with Bihar’s notable contribution during the national freedom struggle. It also includes the land’s rise as ‘The best administered State’ of India during the early years of post-independence era in the country.

Referring to the author’s role in putting together a book, the Home Minister called it a notable contribution as it provides a comprehensive political analysis of the State that is governed primarily by poverty, terrorism, Naxalism and honour killing. “I don’t mind if the book involves criticism over the period I was in charge because Bihar isn’t an ordinary State and has many issues to deal with,” Lalu Yadav said.

The author has incorporated his experience as a journalist into this book. Having covered a number of elections and travelled across the length and breadth of the State added to the familiar facts of Bihar.
