The book “Bucket List of a Traveloholic” is Sarika Pandit’s first experiment into the world of novels.
In the style of a travelogue, the book talks about the author’s experiences in the countries she has travelled to, and promises to take readers on a roller-coaster ride.
Excerpts from the interview with the author:
On the inspiration behind the book…
I was always very much into reading and when you read there is always an urge to be able to read something of your own.
While travelling, it occurred to me to write a book on my experiences in different countries.
That's how the idea of writing a book dawned upon me.
On standing out…
I have approached this book very differently. It basically caters to the needs of the people who wish to travel a lot, like me. It’s like a complete guide for the travellers.
On the balancing act between management and writing…
I am very fond of writing. I regularly write for Femina, The Times of India, National Geographic Traveller India.
Writing was not anything new for me. I have just come up with my first novel.
I hope people like it.
On reliving experiences…
Yes, I shared a very deep relationship with every place I visited, especially Italy. I would definitely want to go back to there if I get a chance.
While writing the book, I literally had all those memories come back to my mind. I could actually feel all of that happening to me again.
On readers and sales figures…
I have not really asked my publishers. I just hope to win the hearts of my readers.
