Jaison Kandamkulathil has had one goal in life, the pursuit of what he describes as ‘great success’. The 36-year-old author and management consultant from Irinjalakuda has spent the better part of his years trying to understand what makes successful people tick, and has now distilled what he believes is the essence of success into a book: Addicted To Great Success .

“Even in my younger days I had the opportunity to interact with a lot of business leaders from different fields, and I used to interview them to find out how they became successful. Speaking to such people and watching interviews that tackle the subject of success is something I find very interesting,” he says.

Jaison says the years he spent working in sales and technical support of various organisations helped him interact directly with a large cross-section of society. “The experience I received in those days has been invaluable to me and I have compiled the lessons I learnt from those conversations into the book.”

He also runs a website, >unclelocal.org , where local businesses can register themselves using “a very simple form” and make themselves accessible to a larger audience. The website groups businesses based on geographic location so visitors to the site can search for businesses based on their location.

His fixation with success and his sympathy towards a large section of the youth led him to travel to Pune and take a course with Dale Carnegie Training. “While travelling in buses I have seen many students who have dreams about achieving things in life but do not know how to go about it. I wrote the book for youngsters who are in such a situation.” To this end he currently works as a freelance trainer and is in talks with some schools to provide motivational training to students.

Going forward, Jaison says that he plans to keep updating the book and make it easier for readers to imbibe the lessons it provides. Addicted To Great Success was published in October 2012 and is available at major bookstores and with online retailers.
