Amazon.in, India’s largest online store, has partnered with Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) to bring the festival closer to book lovers across India.

As official book partner of the JLF this year, it will create a special JLF Store on its marketplace. The store that goes live with the inauguration of the festival will be a one-stop destination for customers across India to access books of their favourite authors from the festival as well as purchase new releases such as Arise, Awake by Rashmi Bansal, Restart by Mihir Sharma, India Shastra by Shashi Tharoor and In Other Words by Javed Akhtar.

“The festival has emerged as one of the biggest events in India which sees the confluence of readers and writers and the publishing industry,” according to Samir Kumar, Director Catefory Management, Amazon India. “Through the special JLF Store we are delighted to provide an opportunity to those who are not able to attend this event in person, to be part of it,” he said.

At the event, Amazon.in will set up a kiosk so that visitors can not only browse through some of the best sellers of 2014 and new launches of 2015 but also experience Kindle devices and the world of e-reading.

Customers will get to engage with prominent authors including Girish Karnad, Javed Akhtar, Ashwin Sanghi, Rajdeep Sardesai, Mihir Sharma, Naseeruddin Shah, Bibek Debroy, Sudha Murthy, Shobhaa De, Salima Hashmi, Amit Chaudhuri, Basharat Peer, Rashmi Bansal and many more at the kiosk and also through the Amazon India Facebook and Twitter handles. Books in Hindi and other Indian languages will be available at the Amazon.in kiosk at JLF and also on the JLF Store on Amazon.in.

Amazon.in will also provide gift coupons to those who make a purchase at the Amazon.in kiosk so that they can avail discounts for their next online purchases. On offer is also a special discount of Rs. 1,000 on all Kindle models purchased at the kiosk.

Customers across India get a chance to win original autographed copies of various bestsellers.
