Ayodhya Mantapam in West Mambalam wears a festive look in the evenings. People throng the Mantapam to listen to Vittal Das Maharaj of Sri Vittal Rukmini Samsthan, Kumbakonam, who has been rendering Namasankirtanam since December 16. It is actually a combination of discourse, song and dance with devotees joining the Maharaj in his rendering. The series titled ‘Maha Bhakta Vijayam’ is on till December 23, 6.30 p.m. A special namasankirtanam has been organised on New Year Day from 10 p.m. to midnight.
