R&B superstar Beyonce Knowles has taken the crown away from Madonna as she has been adjudged the new ‘Queen of Pop’ in a latest fan poll.

The Crazy In Love hitmaker was given the title in Rimmel London’s ‘World’s Greatest Popstars’ contest, which had over 100,000 UK fans participating in the poll, Contactmusic reported.

Britney Spears came second and Madonna took the fifth place as Knowles was announced winner at a live concert at London’s Earls Court, where a special tribute was performed in her honour.

The top ten contenders included Australian pop star Kylie Minogue, rapper Eminem, singers Robbie Williams and Justin Timberlake.
