The Maha Samprokshanam of the renovated Sri Padmavathy Samedha Sri Prasanna Venkatesa Perumal temple, MGR Nagar, was performed in a grand manner yesterday (October 18). Around 1,000 devotees offered prayers to the deities on the occasion.

The temple has shrines dedicated to Lakshmi Narasimhan, Lakshmi Hayagreevar, Chakarathazhwar, Sri Andal and other Azhwars. They have been renovated and a mantapam has been constructed. The temple is famous for utsavams and Veda Prabanda Parayanam. Celebrations include Janma Nakshatram of Azhwars and Acharya. The three-day festivities ended with the procession of utsava deities.
