Qila Fort of Warangal
Oct 26, 2012
The Warangal Fort was constructed during the rule of King Ganapatideva. He had preferred Warangal as his base. One can still see some of the remnants of the sculptures and old temples of the Kakatiya period. There are (45 towers) which are swayed over a total area of (19 kms). This fort had 3 protective layers for security reasons and this was the favourite fort of the king as this fort came out with the feeling of protection. Photos: K. Ramesh Babu
