Film director Lal Jose and Samvrutha Sunil go a long way back. Conveying his best wishes to the svelte actor who is getting married on November 1, Lal writes, a trifle emotionally, in his blog on October 10: “ We concluded shoot of Ayalum Njanum Thammil at Munnar on Saturday. It held another emotional angle for me as it was the last day in the acting career of Samvrutha Sunil, the talented actress who stood in front of [the] camera for the first time for my directorial venture Rasikan , now signing off from silver screen with another venture of mine!!”

Pointing out that she has been in tinsel town for almost 10 years, he compliments her effort to be a part of good cinema. He continues: “As the director who introduced her acting talent to films, I was proud to see her focused attempt to be professional in all work that she accepted irrespective of the screen time and kind of role she was offered.”
