Watch six movies at the Japanese Film Festival

The Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation, in association with the Consulate-General of Japan at Chennai, organises a Japanese Film Festival to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Japan - India Diplomatic Relations.

The festival will be held from September 4 to 7. Films directed by Yaguchi Shinobu, Kumazawa Naoto, Kawaguchi Hirofumi, Hirayama Hideyuki and Shinkai Makoto will be screened.

The event will take place at Devi Sree Devi Preview Theatre, No. 14, Vijaya Raghava Road, T. Nagar. For details, call 2821-2652.

Rail Truck (September 6, 6.15 pm) is a moving tale of a widow and her two sons who rediscover bonds in a rural home

Three for the Road (September 6, 8 p.m.) revolves around three people who take up a journey that could change their lives

Water Boys (September 7, 6.15 p.m.) talks about how a high school synchronised swimming team’s fight against all odds to reach the top faces one last threat

Children Who Chase Lost Voices (September 7, 8 p.m.) follows a girl who has a strange encounter with a beast, after which she is on a quest to a land of legends
