What was being described as the battle of the biggies has ended rather tamely with the makers of Billa 2 choosing to postpone the film’s release.
Originally, the Ajith-starrer Billa 2 and the Karthi-starrer Saguni were to hit the screens on June 22, and a close contest was expected at the box office. However, on Monday, Sunir Kheterpal, producer of Billa 2 , while talking to MetroPlus , said, “We will be getting the censor certificate of the film only today. We cannot announce the release date of the film before that. The film has been granted an ‘A’ certificate and it will not release on June 22.”
‘Sowcar’ Janaki is back
Veteran actor ‘Sowcar’ Janaki will soon be seen in a Tamil film titled Vaanavarayan Vallavarayan . The 81-year-old actor, who dons the grease paint after 15 years will be directed by Rajmohan. The film stars Kreshna of Kazhugu fame in the lead.The actor, who has been a part of the film industry for the last 62 years, has acted in over 385 films in several languages including Tamil and Hindi.
