The songs of “Seedan” are hum-worthy

The audio of R. Mohan's (Mith Productions) “Seedan”, produced by Amith Mohan, was released recently. The first CD was released by Latha Rajinikanth in the presence of directors Kasthoori Raja, Lingusamy, Ameer, Vetrimaran, Subramaniam Siva (the film's director), Suhasini and Selvaragavan, along with the cast and crew of the film.

This film stars Dhanush, Krishna, Ananya, Vivek and actor-lyricist Pa. Vijay. Interestingly, Dhanush is not the lead; Krishna and Ananya play the lead. It is music director Dhina's 50th film. At the launch, two songs were screened. The order in which the songs are played is different from the list on the CD cover.

There are six songs in the album, and all are written by Pa.Vijay, except ‘ Enadhu Uyire', a pleasing number written by Ugabharathi and sung by Prasanna and Janaki Iyer. ‘ Yadumaghiye' is a nice piece sung by Shankar Mahadevan and Kavitha Krishnamurthy. ‘Oru Naal Mattum' is am impressive solo by Chitra. ‘Munpani' has been rendered beautifully by Shreya Goshal. ‘Saravana Samaniyal' is sung by Hariharan, interspersed with Dhanush's instructions on how to cook a good meal. ‘Elelo' is by Madhurai Chinna Ponnu, joined by Shankar Mahadevan.
