Appupen is a comic creator and artist who tells stories from his mythical world, Halahala. His first graphic novel, Moonward, published by Blaft in 2009, was selected for the 2011 Angouleme festival, France. His second silent graphic novel, Legends of Halahala (Harper Collins) will be out in January 2013. He hopes to sell it with the tag line - '150 pages of art! No words!' Appupen is now back at his desk, working on his next book, Aspyrus.
His commissioned murals and art can be seen in many cities across India and at >www.georgemathen.com .
