Palakkad squeezed out a 45-44 win over Idukki in a thrilling match after leading 23-18 at half-time. Ebin P.Jose (14) and Eby Sony (12) were the top-scorers for Palakkad while Ajith Sugunan (12) and Jose Thomas (10) did well for Idukki. SASC advancesSASC, Wynad, defeated Basco (Malappuram) 4-2, via the tie-breaker, in the opening match of the 34th Kerala State inter-club football championship at the Corporation Stadium in Thrissur on Monday night. The teams were tied 1-1 at the end of the regulation period.
