Man found dead on railway track identified

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The 25-year-old man, who was found dead on the railway track at Ghatkesar on city outskirts on Tuesday, was identified as Srinivas of Uppal on Saturday.

Parents of Srinivas, who approached the Uppal police three days ago stating that their son went missing, recognised him after examining photographs of the body. Srinivas used to work as municipal vehicle driver.

The case took a twist with his parents alleging that Srinivas was murdered and two of their relatives, Raju and Venkanna, could be behind it. “We’re recording statement of Srinivas’ parents. After verifying the facts, sections of the law would be altered to murder,” Uppal Inspector B. Bhaskar said.
