Court directive to bank

CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has directed the Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank to declare three persons as having been elected directors at the 83rd annual general meeting (AGM). They are, S.C. Sekar, V.V.D.N. Vikraman and S.R. Arvind Kumar.

In his order, Justice V. Ramasubramanian said the bank should also declare P. Mahindravel, B. Prabhakaran, T. Raja Kumar, Shankar Jaganathan, Thirukumar Vethanayagam, S. Ganapathy and P. Yesunathan as having been elected at the 85th AGM.

The board of directors should meet and call for the next AGM (86th) within the time stipulated by the order dated October 8 this year. Mr. Justice Ramasubramanian passed the order on an application by B. Ramachandra Adityan.
