Hassan
Hassan: Hassan District Central Cooperative Bank president Patel Shivaram filed his nomination papers here on Friday for election from the Hassan Local Authorities constituency to the Legislative Council. He submitted his papers as candidate of the Janata Dal (Secular) to Additional Deputy Commissioner Subbaraya Kamat. Former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, MP, former Minister H.D. Revanna, T. Ramaswamy, MLAs C.S. Putte Gowda and H.K. Kumaraswamy were present. Mr. Shivaram is from Doddagenigere village in Shantigrama hobli in Hassan taluk. Earlier, district JD (S) president H.K. Javare Gowda informed presspersons that they would go in a procession to file the nomination.
