VELLORE: The CISCO Networking Academy was inaugurated at Adhiparasakthi College of Engineering in Kalavai recently. J. Jagan, Manager, CISCO Systems, India, and SAARC Countries, who inaugurated the academy, explained its salient features. CISCO has established its branches in 70 countries. A total of 15,000 CISCO Academies are functioning throughout the world. More than 75,000 people are working in these academies. Networking would have good scope in future, he said. VRA. Saathappan, Principal, Adhiparasakthi College of Engineering, presided. He urged students to acquire additional skills such as communication skills and advanced skills in computing, while pursing their degree course, to improve employability. K. Rajakumar, Curriculum-Lead, CISCO local academy, welcomed the gathering. G. Elaiyaraja, senior lecturer, introduced the chief guest. R.J. Sathya, lecturer in IT, proposed a vote of thanks.
