Workshop on Kannada

MYSORE: A workshop on classical language status to Kannada will be organised by the Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies of the University of Mysore on Friday. Manu Baligar, Director of the Department of Kannada and Culture, will inaugurate the workshop at 11.30 a.m. Lingadevaru Halemane, linguist, will speak on classical language status for Kannada. Kikkeri Narayana will speak on research opportunities in Kannada. The workshop will be held at the KIKS auditorium at Manasagangotri. — Special Correspondent
