Reprieve for medical students

BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday came to the help of 145 postgraduate medical students when it quashed orders by the Medical Council of India (MCI) asking several medical colleges in the State to discharge them from the institutions.

The MCI had taken the decision to annul the students saying that they had been admitted after the last date of admission.

It had said any admission made after June 10, the last date, is illegal.
