Introspection: Karnataka Law Commission Chairman V.S. Malimath at the Lawyers’ Day function on Thursday in Hassan. HASSAN: Karnataka Law Commission chairman V.S. Malimath criticised advocates for resorting to violence on the premises of the High Court in Bangalore recently. Addressing advocates after inaugurating the Law Day function here on Thursday, Mr. Malimath regretted that even lawmakers and lawyers had failed to perform their role as the custodians of the law of the country. The meeting also mourned those who were killed in the Mumbai attacks in the recent floods in north Karnataka. District president of the Advocates’ Association K.K. Dharmappa and Principal District and Sessions Judge K. Somashekhar were present.
