Double for Golden Gates

Coimbatore: Golden Gates MHSS (Salem) clinched both the boys’ and girls’ titles in the SBOA silver jubilee table tennis team championship here recently.

Golden Gates ‘A’ scored a 3-0 win over Montfort Matric Academy (Chennai) for the boys’ title. In the girls’ category, it fashioned a similar 3-0 win over Kalaimagal Kalvi Nilayam GHSS (Erode).

The results:

Boys: Final: Golden Gates ‘A’ (Salem) bt Montfort MA (Chennai) 3-0. Semifinals: Golden Gates ‘A’ bt Santhome MHSS (Chennai) 3-1; Montfort MA bt RSK (Tiruchi) 3-0.

Girls: Final: Golden Gates bt Kalaimagal Kalvi Nilayam GHSS (Erode) 3-0. Semifinals: Golden Gates MHSS (Salem) bt Presentation Convent (Coimbatore) 3-0; Kalaimagal Kalvi Nilayam GHSS (Erode) bt Avila Convent 3-0.
