Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Microsoft India Development Centre (MSIDC) unveiled ‘Indic Language Input Tool’ here on Wednesday for better and broader adoption of computing technologies in Indian languages. The free-form transliteration software tool will be made available soon for users as a free download in beta version.

Unveiling the new software, managing director of MSIDC Srini Koppolu stated that the tool would initially support six Indian languages — Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali and Malayalam — and would be extended to eight more languages later.

It can be downloaded at http://specials.msn.co.in/
