MLA distributes Rs.27.43-lakh loans to SHGs

NELLORE: Mungamuri Sridharkrishna Redd, MLA, distributed Rs.27.43 lakh loans to 844 self-help groups (SHGs) under ‘Pavala Vaddi’ scheme at RSRM High School on Wednesday.

Earlier, the MLA, along with Nellore Rural MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy and Mayor N. Bhanusri inaugurated the multi-purpose resource centre for SHGs at Tadikala Bazar in the city.

The MLAs and the Mayor launched the training programme for youth, being jointly organised by Indira Kranthi Patham (IKP) and Dr. Reddy’s Foundation, at school premises.

Training would be provided for three months in hotel management, basic computers, electrical wiring, marketing, spoken English and other fields, said Mr. Krishna Reddy.
