Three-member panel to probe into JNU clash

NEW DELHI: The Jawaharlal Nehru University Vice-Chancellor has set up a three-member committee to probe the violent clashes between the police and students on the campus over the weekend.
JNU Rector-II Prof. R. Kumar said : “The committee comprising Prof. Harjit Singh of the Centre for the Study of Regional Development, Prof. Sonajharia Minz of the School of Computer and Systems Sciences and Prof. Rajat Datta of the Centre for Historical Studies will probe the incident.”
The committee is expected to submit its report on Friday.
While a meeting of the Academic Council will be held on Wednesday, an extended security committee meeting involving the students, faculty and administration is also expected to be held soon.
