Puducherry schoolgirl dies at Tiruvannamalai

Puducherry police claims that the girl was a juvenile diabetic and

her death was natural


Tiruvannamalai: A schoolgirl who went missing from her house Shamugapuram, Puducherry, was admitted to Tiruvannamalai Government Hospital for menstrual bleeding on Tuesday, where she died.

Sivapriya, a Standard X student of a school in Kadirkamam, had allegedly left home a few days ago after her parents scolded her for getting low marks in examination.

A girl-missing case was registered at the Mettupalayam police station in Puducherry.

Ambulance service alerted

Meanwhile, someone from near Tiruvannamalai called 108 ambulance service and informed them of a girl in serious condition due to over menstrual bleeding.

The ambulance picked up the girl from Seralur Koot Road and admitted her to Tiruvannamalai Government Hospital.

A boy named Nataraj accompanied her.

Investigation

Tiruvannamalai Superintendent of Police M. Pandiyan said that Puducherry police was investigating the matter and had taken Nataraj for interrogation.

Puducherry police claims that the girl was a juvenile diabetic and her death was natural.
