Udhagamandalam: The Tamil Nadu Governor Surjit Singh Barnala arrived here by helicopter on Tuesday. He was given a warm welcome by the Nilgiris Collector Anandrao V. Patil, Superintendent of Police Kapil Kumar C. Saratkar and senior officials. Inclement weatherEarlier the Governor’s helicopter which took off at Coimbatore had to return because of the cloudy weather here which made it difficult for landing at the Theetukkal helipad.The Governor had to wait at Coimbatore Airport for half-an-hour. Safe landingFollowing a clearance, the chopper took off around 2.35 and safely landed at Udhagamandalam at 2.55 p.m. The Governor is scheduled to stay at the Raj Bhavan here till November 27.
