NELLORE: Zilla Parishad chairman Kakani Goverdhan Reddy has directed the officials of the Medical and Health, Panchayat Raj, Revenue and other departments to take steps to prevent the spread of viral fevers. Speaking at a review meeting here on Tuesday, Mr. Reddy asked the doctors about the performance of various Primary Health Centres (PHCs), immunization, drugs and staff position in the PHCs and Urban Health Centres. He asked the medical officers, nurses and paramedical staff to stay in posted villages and provide better services to the villagers. He directed the officials to conduct surprise checks on PHCs, dispensaries and area hospitals in the district, hold review meetings and take action against negligent staff.Deputy Chief Executive Officer Anjaneya Raju, District Medical and Health Officer Dr. Suresh Kumar, Immunization Officer Jayasimha attended.
