NEW DELHI: Saloni of Government Senior Secondary School, Singhu Border, will lead Delhi in the eighth National junior girls’ football championship to be held at Cuttack from November 24 to December 11. Delhi has been clubbed with host Orissa and Madhya Pradesh in cluster II in the 27-team competition. The winners of the eight clusters will qualify for the quarterfinals. The team: Saloni (capt.), Niharika (vice-capt.), Priya Jain, Sundari, Neeti Antil, Sakshi Tandon, Pinky, Priyam, Neetu, Deepika, Himakshi, Sweety, Sonal, Sunita, Shefali, Manvi Dhingra, Divya, Akansha, Malika and Bhawna; Standbyes: Shivangi Sharma, Shrutika, Ishita and Uma Narang. Coach: H.S. Bisht; Manager: Moumita Barua.
