dated November 23, 1959: A versatile genius

“What Dr. C.P. Ramaswami Aiyar has been and what he has done is part of the history of our country in the present century. His life has been lived in full sunlight. He is an example of a complete man, with a remarkable endowment of talents and virtues”. Thus observed Mr. Jayachamaraja Wadiyar, Governor of Mysore, in his tribute to Dr. Ramaswami Aiyar on the occasion of his 81st birthday celebrated in Madras on November 22.

The Governor of Mysore, who could not be present, had sent his address which was read.

The function organised by an influential Committee of the Citizens of Madras was held at the Rasika Ranjini Sabha Hall, Mylapore, which was packed.
